Why cruise when you can expedition with National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions?
We love an ocean cruise and a river cruise! Our name says it all! And each style of cruise has its own appeal. Whether tropical pool deck parties, theme nights, and round-the-clock entertainment or sedate river cruising through locks, tulips, and castles, we recommend you experience them all!

Lindblad Expeditions was founded 60 years ago with a voyage to Antarctica. Having grown to 22 ships and over 70 countries on 7 continents, the options are seemingly endless.
The small size allows the ships to travel to remote corners that other ships cannot traverse. The largest capacity is 148 guests.
I cannot decide which is first. Baja California peninsula or the Arctic to see the polar bears and northern fjords of Svalbard!
What makes expedition cruising different?
National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions cruises take travelers off the beaten path to immerse them in the local culture and natural beauty of the destination.
The cruises are all-inclusive with food, drinks including alcohol, onshore excursions, and airport transfers.
The expeditions seek to go beyond supporting the economy by encouraging guests to not just witness but engage with the community.

Onboard Experience: Life on a Lindblad Expedition
Lindblad balances luxury with adventure—focusing more on exploration than opulence. Here’s what to expect:
Cabins & Suites: Modern, comfortable, but not ultra-glamorous. Some ships have balcony suites, others feature large observation windows instead.
Dining: Farm-to-table gourmet cuisine, locally inspired menus, and all meals included.
Beverages: Some ships include beer/wine at meals, but not full open bars like Silversea or Scenic.
Excursions: Zodiacs, guided hikes, snorkeling, and scientific research programs.
National Geographic Photography Workshops: Learn from professional photographers on board.
Wellness & Relaxation: Small spas, saunas, hot tubs—but no full-size pools or elaborate fitness centers.
